Our mission is to prevent more people from developing lung disease, and to transform the care of people living with lung disease.

We’ve brought together the most influential voices working in lung health from across the nation to create a five year plan for improving lung health in England.

Why does lung health matter? Learn more

“My hope is that this will be the catalyst needed to provide a step change and lasting impact for all patients living with long term respiratory conditions. With the implementation of the Taskforce’s recommendations, I’m confident that significant improvements will be made in early and accurate diagnosis, in equality of treatment.

In addition, irrespective of postcode, this will provide wider access to pulmonary rehabilitation and better patient care pathways, resulting in better quality of life for longer for all living with a chronic respiratory condition.”

John Conway, patient representative
